Can't remember where I got the drivers, but they are on the realtek site (didn't use that site though as it's so slow). I uninstalled my existing drivers, and ran the realtek install program in XP SP2 compatibility as administrator. What finally worked for my Sigmatel C-Major was the Realtek AC'97 XP drivers (I've read bad things about their Vista beta drivers). I've got the Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop, and tried everything above, numerous times and for all variations, but to no avail (no sound through the headphone). STAC97.cpl = SigmaTel = 1.0.0.12 (this control panel item now causes a registry key error)
